Merchants and partners of DeshiCommerce may not have a dedicated privacy team. However, it is important for that they meet their privacy obligations. To help them, Deshicommerce tries to develop products and services in a manner that can be used in privacy-friendly way without much difficulty.

Why we collect and process your personal or business information

We, in general process your information to fulfill a contractual obligation such as service and product delivery, subscription payment, shipment. We or our partners, vendors or some entity we work with needs to use your personal information for reasons related to their business (for example, to provide you with a service). Entities who provide a wide array of services to merchants such as by developing applications, themes for your use, an affiliate who refers potential merchants to us to build or manage stores;

Why your personal information is collected and shared?

We collect, use and share your personal information as disclosed in the privacy policy. Categories of sensitive personal information that are collected are only used or disclosed either with your specific consent when required, or as otherwise permitted by law.

In order to give superior e-commerce experience for everyone, we collect and use personal information provided by:

  • Yourself: The information you provide while using our platforms, such as when you sign up or login as DeshiComemrce merchant, visit a Deshicommerce powered e-commerce shop, fill in forms, visit our online sites or contact support. We collect our platform interaction information, including account and payment, product purchased, added in shopping cart, made favorite or reviewed (in case of a customer) and information you have provided about you and your business (in case of a merchant) and how you otherwise interact or communicate with stores or other users on our platforms. We also store information about how you browse through our platforms, as well as search terms you have used.
  • Device(s): We collect information about and through the devices you use, such as computers, phones, and other digital devices you use to access our platforms.
  • Third parties: We receive information from our partners who enable us to provide you with our services including the following:
  • Email providers: If you use or connect your third-party inboxes, such as Gmail or Outlook (according to their terms and policies and as permitted by applicable law), we receive information to identify shopping-related emails and display within Shop information about specific orders you have made, stores you have engaged with in the past, and other related information.
  • Service Providers: Our service providers share information with us that enable us to provide services to our clients, such as account review for fraud or other instances.
  • Marketplaces: If you use our platforms to connect and place products for selling, or for shopping form marketplace such as Daraz. Ajkerdeal etc., we receive information about product sell and purchases from other marketplaces or platforms. This information helps us to improve Shop and personalize your experience using our platforms, and to give specific offers or payment methods.
  • Service vendors: We work with third party service vendors for cloud hosting, content delivery, data analysis, internal logging, fulfillment services and email transmission, among others, to provide you with our services.
