Purchase orders help you update the inventory of in-stock products with new stock arrival from suppliers. Use this feature to keep track of products and suppliers in the DeshiCommerce system.
Go to https://ui.blubirdinteractive.org/product where you will find all of your existing active, draft, and archived products.
- Click on these tabs to see All = all products, Active = currently on display on your website, Draft = unpublished products, and Archive = once published products that are no longer displayed.
- Click on the top right green button “+ Add Product” to create new products.
- Filter products by brands.
- Search products by name.
- Click on any product link to edit and update your existing products.
- Write your product’s name or title here.
- Write your product’s subtitle or brief introduction line here.
- Compose the description of your product here. Try to write a customer-friendly and accurate product description. Note: if you copy and paste product descriptions from another site, your product page SEO score will be low. We advise you to rewrite and rephrase the content so it does not get flagged as copied content by Google’s search engine algorithm.
- Select the brand of the product from the drop-down list. If the brand is not in the dropdown, write the brand name and click on create to add a new brand name under the dropdown list.
- Select your product’s category from the dropdown list. If you want to create a new category for the product, please go to https://ui.blubirdinteractive.org/category. Learn more about how to create a category (Placeholder for article link).
- Select your product status. You can choose among: Active = To display on your live website; Draft = To keep your products unpublished and edit later; Archive = To unpublish already published product.
- Upload your product images. We recommend uploading images at 1200 x 900 (w x h) resolution for the best viewing experience for your customers.
- Write the original price of your product. Any percentage discounts and offer prices will be calculated against this price.
- Write the discounted price to compare against the original price.
- Write the purchase price or cost per unit of your product. This price will not be displayed on your website. It will help to automatically track inventory in your admin panel.
- Input SKU (Stock Keeping Unit) here. The SKU should be unique for each product.
- Write the barcode number of your product.
- Write the available quantity of the product in your stock.
- Put a tick mark if it is a physical product; otherwise, leave it unticked.
- Input the weight of the product. It will help you calculate and display the delivery charge automatically to your customer.
- Select the appropriate weight unit for your product.
- If there are multiple variants of your product, then add the variant by color, size, material, etc.
- Write the product page title. For SEO, we recommend you do keyword research and write a user-friendly, short, and accurate title.
- Write a search engine-friendly URL for your product.
- Write a short description of your product. This is the meta description of the product page and will appear in search engine result pages (SERPs). We recommend keeping it between 120-150 characters.
- Click to save the product you have just created.
